This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you when you use Shop Latte.
Shop Latte is currently intended for users and businesses located in the United States.
By using Shop Latte, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of Shop Latte, information received from connected services, and certain information collected automatically.
Account information
When you create a Shop Latte account, we may collect:
- first and last name;
- email address;
- username;
- password or authentication credentials;
- ZIP code;
- marketing email preferences; and
- other information you choose to provide.
Your first and last name, username, ZIP code, and favorites are private unless you choose to include similar information in public business content.
We may use your first name or username to personalize your account dashboard.
Passwords are processed through our authentication provider. Shop Latte does not have access to your password in readable form.
Google sign-in
You may choose to create or access your account using Google sign-in.
When you use Google sign-in, we may receive information associated with your Google account, including:
- your email address;
- your Google display name;
- your Google account identifier; and
- your Google profile image.
Shop Latte does not currently display your Google profile image or Google display name publicly, but this information may be received and stored as part of the connection.
Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s applicable terms and privacy practices.
Location information
You may choose to create or access your account using Google sign-in.
We collect location information that you intentionally provide, such as:
- account ZIP code;
- business ZIP code;
- city and state;
- service areas;
- storefront addresses;
- pop-up locations; and
- event locations.
We may use a ZIP code to determine or confirm a city and state.
Account ZIP codes are private. A business ZIP code is not displayed publicly unless it is included within an address that the business owner chooses to publish.
A Shop Latte account may be used to create and manage one or more business profiles.
When you create or manage a business profile, we may collect information such as:
- business name;
- business username and public profile URL;
- business headline or description;
- owner name;
- owner story;
- year started;
- business structure;
- business categories;
- identity and ethos selections;
- city, state, region, ZIP code, address, or service area;
- website and social media links;
- contact links;
- business logo;
- owner photo;
- business photos;
- Menu items;
- Block Posts;
- events;
- inquiry forms;
- drafts, scheduled content, archived content, and deleted content; and
- other information submitted through business-management features.
The name of the business owner is optional.
Information published to a business profile is generally visible to the public. You are responsible for deciding what information to publish and for ensuring that you have the right to provide it.
Voluntary identity and ethos information
Business owners may voluntarily select identity, ownership, community, values, or ethos labels for their businesses.
Depending on the selection, this information may relate to characteristics such as race, ethnicity, gender, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, family ownership, religious affiliation, or similar identity or community information.
These selections are:
- optional;
- provided directly by the business owner;
- publicly displayed when selected; and
- These self-selected identity, ownership, community, values, and ethos labels are not independently verified by Shop Latte unless we expressly state otherwise. Completion of Shop Latte Identity Verification does not verify these self-selected labels.
Do not provide this information unless you are comfortable making it public.
Business content and uploaded images
We collect and store content uploaded or created through Shop Latte, including:
- logos;
- owner photos;
- business photos;
- profile information;

- events;
- inquiry forms;
- drafts;
- scheduled content;
- archived content; and
- content placed in trash or pending deletion.
Uploaded images may be processed by storage, delivery, security, content-moderation, and automated analysis providers.
We may automatically analyze uploaded images to identify potentially inappropriate, unsafe, prohibited, AI-generated, or AI-assisted content, including through content provenance information and other technical signals.
We use this analysis to support content transparency, platform safety, fraud and scam prevention, and enforcement of our Terms of Use. Analysis results may be used to display content labels, flag content for review, or investigate potentially deceptive or misleading activity.
Automated analysis may be incomplete or inaccurate and does not replace our right to review, restrict, or remove content under our Terms of Use. Shop Latte may also conduct human review when appropriate.
When you use Shop Latte, we may collect information about your activity, including:
- businesses you favorite;
- profiles, posts, Menu items, or events you view;
- inquiries you submit;
- content interactions;
- businesses you manage;
- account and business activity;
- view counts;
- favorite counts;
- inquiry counts; and
- other engagement totals.
Favorites are private. Businesses may see aggregate counts, such as the number of favorites or views they receive, but they do not receive the identities of users who favorited or viewed their business solely through those analytics.
Shop Latte does not currently store general search terms or filter selections as part of an individual user search history. However, analytics providers may collect information about pages visited, clicks, navigation, and other site interactions as described below.
Businesses may create customizable inquiry forms through Shop Latte.
When you submit an inquiry, we may collect:
- your first and last name;
- your account email address;
- your message;
- the inquiry form used;
- the business receiving the inquiry;
- the date and time submitted; and
- your responses to custom questions created by the business.
A business may use custom questions to request additional information, such as:
- phone number;
- dates;
- budget;
- address or location;
- project details;
- service needs;
- order information; or
- other information relevant to the business.
Shop Latte does not currently permit file uploads through inquiry forms.
Businesses control the custom questions they create. Shop Latte does not preapprove every question and does not prohibit businesses from requesting particular types of information through a free-text question.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, payment-card information, passwords, medical records, government identification numbers, or other highly sensitive information through an inquiry form unless it is strictly necessary and you understand how the receiving business will use it.
Inquiry submissions may be visible to:
- the user who submitted the inquiry;
- the business account receiving the inquiry; and
- authorized Shop Latte personnel when reasonably necessary for support, security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or platform administration.
Shop Latte stores the original inquiry submission. Any communication that occurs afterward outside Shop Latte, including replies sent through email, phone, or another service, is controlled by the participants.
Shop Latte does not track whether a business responds to an inquiry after it leaves the platform.
We may collect and retain information you provide when you:
- contact customer support;
- email Shop Latte;
- submit feedback;
- request account assistance;
- report a security issue;
- dispute a charge;
- request a refund;
- exercise a privacy right; or
- communicate with us for another reason.
This may include your contact information, message contents, attachments, account information, transaction details, and records of our response.
Shop Latte uses a third-party payment provider to process:
- paid subscriptions;
- subscription renewals;
- voluntary contributions;
- refunds;
- disputes; and
- related payment activity.
Payment-card and bank-account information is submitted directly to the payment provider. Shop Latte does not directly store full payment-card or bank-account numbers.
We may receive and store related information, including:
- payment-provider customer identifiers;
- subscription identifiers;
- payment or transaction identifiers;
- plan information;
- contribution amount;
- payment amount;
- currency;
- payment status;
- refund status;
- dispute status;
- transaction dates; and
- limited payment details made available by the payment provider.
Payment processing is also subject to the payment provider’s privacy practices and terms.
Business owners may choose, or may be required for certain Shop Latte features, to complete identity verification through our identity-verification provider.
Depending on the verification process, the provider may collect information from a government-issued identification document and other information necessary to verify identity. This may include your name, date of birth, document type, issuing jurisdiction or state, document images, and verification results.
Shop Latte uses verification to confirm the person associated with a business and, where applicable, to confirm the state shown on an accepted government-issued identification document.
Shop Latte does not use identity-verification information to publicly display your identification document, identification number, home address, or other underlying document information.
Shop Latte may receive limited verification information from the provider, such as whether verification succeeded, verification status, provider identifiers, and information necessary for Shop Latte's state-verification process.
Marketing communications are optional.
We collect and retain whether you have opted in to or opted out of marketing emails. We may keep unsubscribe and suppression records so that we can honor your communication choices.
You may still receive transactional or service-related messages even when you opt out of marketing.
2. Information Collected Automatically
When you access or use Shop Latte, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- language settings;
- approximate geographic area derived from technical information;
- referring page or website;
- pages viewed;
- links or buttons clicked;
- scrolling and navigation activity;
- session dates and times;
- error and performance information;
- network information;
- cookie and similar technology identifiers; and
- information about how you interact with Shop Latte.
We use this information to operate the platform, understand usage, troubleshoot problems, improve performance, measure engagement, prevent abuse, and protect Shop Latte and its users.
3. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Shop Latte and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies.
These technologies may be used to:
- keep you signed in;
- remember preferences;
- maintain security;
- prevent fraud or abuse;
- understand platform usage;
- measure traffic and engagement;
- identify performance issues;
- improve features and design; and
- support communications and marketing where permitted.
We plan to provide cookie controls that allow users to manage nonessential technologies where required or supported.
You may also control cookies through your browser. Blocking certain cookies may affect the availability or operation of some Shop Latte features.
Additional information may be provided in our Cookie Notice.
4. Analytics and Session-Interaction Tools
We use analytics, infrastructure, and performance services to understand how Shop Latte is used and to improve the platform.
These services may collect information such as:
- IP address;
- device and browser information;
- approximate location;
- pages visited;
- time spent on pages;
- clicks;
- scrolling;
- navigation paths;
- traffic sources;
- errors; and
- performance information.
We also use a session-interaction analytics tool that may record visual representations of how users navigate and interact with the platform.
Sensitive form fields and account information are configured to be masked from those recordings. Masking is intended to prevent protected field contents from being visible to or uploaded through the recording service, but no technical control can be guaranteed to prevent every unintended capture.
Analytics information is retained according to our settings and the applicable provider’s practices. Some providers currently use their default retention settings.
We do not use Shop Latte to sell targeted advertising placements or send abandoned-cart reminders.
5. How We Use Information

Only publish information you are comfortable making public.
Account names, account usernames, ZIP codes, favorites, and ordinary account information are not publicly displayed unless you separately choose to include similar information in public business content.
Shop Latte does not publicly display the identification document or other underlying identity-verification information solely because a business is verified.
7. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money.
We may disclose information in the circumstances described below.
When you submit an inquiry, we provide the receiving business with the information contained in that inquiry, including your name, email address, message, and answers to custom questions.
The receiving business is independently responsible for how it uses, stores, shares, and protects information after receiving it.
Shop Latte does not control communications or transactions that occur between users and businesses outside the platform.
With service providers
With service providers
We may share information with companies that help us provide Shop Latte, including providers of:
- authentication;
- identity verification and fraud prevention;
- hosting;
- cloud infrastructure;
- database services;
- file and image storage;
- image delivery and optimization;
- content moderation;
- payment processing;
- email delivery;
- analytics;

- professional services.
These providers may process information only as permitted by their agreements with us and their own legal obligations.
With Google sign-in
When you connect through Google, information may be exchanged with Google as necessary to authenticate your account and maintain the connection.
With identity-verification providers: powered by Stripe
When you begin Identity Verification, information may be submitted directly to our identity-verification provider. The provider processes that information according to its own privacy practices and its agreement with Shop Latte. We may receive verification results and limited information necessary to administer Shop Latte's verification program.
For legal, safety, and enforcement purposes
We may preserve, access, or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process;
- respond to lawful requests from government authorities;
- protect the rights, safety, or property of Shop Latte, our users, businesses, or the public;
- detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or illegal activity;
- enforce our Terms of Service or other agreements;
- investigate suspected violations;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; or
- protect the integrity and availability of the platform.
Where legally permitted and appropriate, we may review or challenge requests that we believe are invalid, overly broad, or inconsistent with the rights of Shop Latte or its users.
Business transfers
If Shop Latte is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Any recipient will remain subject to applicable law and the privacy commitments governing the information transferred.
With your direction or consent
We may share information when you request, direct, or consent to the disclosure.
8. Business Responsibilities for Inquiry Information
Businesses that receive information through Shop Latte inquiry forms are responsible for handling that information appropriately.
A business must:
- request only information reasonably related to its legitimate business needs;
- clearly communicate how it intends to use information when necessary;
- protect information from unauthorized access or misuse;
- comply with applicable privacy, consumer-protection, communications, and recordkeeping laws;
- avoid using information for unlawful discrimination, harassment, fraud, or spam; and
- delete or retain information in accordance with applicable law and legitimate business needs.
Shop Latte is not responsible for a business’s independent use of inquiry information after it has been received.
Users should review a business’s policies and use judgment before providing sensitive or unnecessary information.
9. Email Communications
We may use an email-delivery provider to send:
- email verification;
- password-reset and security messages;

- billing and subscription notices;
- contribution receipts or updates;
- product announcements;
- service updates; and
- marketing newsletters.
Marketing emails are sent only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law.
You may unsubscribe through the link included in a marketing email or by contacting us.
Opting out of marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary service, security, inquiry, account, legal, or billing communications.
10. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- provide Shop Latte;
- maintain your account;
- fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
- preserve security and prevent abuse;
- resolve disputes;
- enforce agreements;
- maintain appropriate business and financial records; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and how it is used.
Business-profile deletion
When a business profile is placed into deletion, it may remain recoverable for 30 days.
During this period, you may be prevented from deleting the underlying account through the ordinary account settings. You may contact us to request deletion of the full account.
After the 30-day recovery period, the business profile and its associated content are permanently deleted from active systems, subject to limited backup, legal, security, and recordkeeping exceptions.
Associated content may include:
- profile information;
- Block Posts;
- Menu items;
- events;
- photos;
- inquiry forms;
- drafts;
- scheduled content; and
- archived content.
Account deletion
Users may delete their accounts through available account settings when eligible.
Deleting an account generally deletes information directly associated with that account, including private account information and favorites, subject to the exceptions described in this section.
If an active business-profile deletion is pending, the user may need to contact Shop Latte to request complete account deletion.
Inquiry records
Inquiry submissions may be stored separately from other account records.
After an inquiry has been delivered, some records may remain available to the receiving business or may be retained where reasonably necessary for:
- platform integrity;
- security;
- abuse prevention;
- support;
- dispute resolution;
- legal compliance; or
- maintaining accurate service records.
Because Shop Latte does not control records independently retained by a receiving business, deleting your Shop Latte account may not delete copies that the business has exported, copied, or retained outside the platform.
Payment and legal records
We may retain transaction, subscription, contribution, refund, dispute, tax, accounting, and legal records for the period required or permitted by law.
Marketing suppression records
We may retain a limited record of an email address and its opt-out status to ensure that marketing preferences continue to be honored.
Backups
Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or disaster-recovery systems until those systems are overwritten according to ordinary retention cycles.
We may isolate backup data from ordinary use and delete it when technically feasible.
11. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.
These measures may include:
- access controls;
- authentication protections;
- encrypted connections;
- provider security controls;
- database restrictions;
- content masking;
- automated abuse prevention;
- image moderation; and
- monitoring for errors or suspicious activity.
No website, database, storage system, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- request access to personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- receive a copy of certain information;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- opt out of marketing communications;
- manage cookies and similar technologies;
- request information about how personal information is used or disclosed;
- appeal certain decisions regarding a privacy request; and
- exercise other rights provided by applicable law.
These rights may be subject to exceptions and limitations.
You can update certain information through your account settings.
To submit a privacy request, email hello@shoplatte.com .
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may require information reasonably necessary to confirm that you control the account or email address involved.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request where permitted by law. We may require proof that the agent is authorized to act for you.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
13. State-Specific Privacy Rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under state law.
Depending on the law and whether it applies to Shop Latte, these rights may include:
- knowing what categories of personal information are collected;
- knowing the purposes for which information is used;
- knowing the categories of recipients to whom information is disclosed;
- accessing personal information;
- correcting inaccurate information;
- deleting personal information;
- obtaining a portable copy of information;
- opting out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling;
- limiting certain uses of sensitive personal information; and
- appealing a denied privacy request.
Shop Latte does not sell personal information for money.
Certain analytics or cookie activity may be treated as “sharing,” targeted advertising, or another regulated disclosure under some state laws, even where no money is exchanged. Where required, we will provide applicable cookie controls or opt-out methods.
To exercise an applicable state privacy right, contact hello@shoplatte.com .
14. Children and Minors
Shop Latte is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create accounts or submit personal information through the platform.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Users who are at least 13 but under 18 may use Shop Latte only with the involvement, supervision, and permission of a parent or legal guardian as required by our Terms of Service and applicable law.
A minor may not create or operate a business profile unless authorized and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or other adult legally permitted to act on behalf of the business.
A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact hello@shoplatte.com .
15. Third-Party Websites and Services
Shop Latte may contain links to business websites, social media pages, payment services, maps, email providers, and other third-party services.
We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties.
Information you provide directly to a business or third-party service is governed by that party’s own terms and privacy practices.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the platform, by email, or through another reasonable method.
Your continued use of Shop Latte after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means that the updated policy will apply to your future use of the platform, to the extent permitted by law.
